pro-rated rent
When you rent one of our properties, we require the security deposit and one full month's rent to be paid before you get the keys. If you are moving in around the middle of a month, you still need to pay a full month's rent upfront, but we only charge the pro-rated rent for the following month.
For example, if you are moving in on January 15th and your house rents for $600 per month, you will still pay $600 plus the security deposit upfront. However, only half of a month's rent ($300) would be due on February 1st. This way, by the end of the 2nd month, you have paid for exactly how many days you have lived in the property.
